I cannot log in and I'm getting an error message saying
"Anatomy.tv concurrent users limit warning"

If you are a personal subscriber, the number of users set to your account is one and if this has been exceeded you will see this error message. If this does happen, you can reset and log out of any other browser by going to the 'reset logins' option that will appear.

If you are a subscriber at an institution, the number of users is set to an agreed limit and when this has been exceeded you will see this error message.

Other common reasons for being locked out:

  • Users closing the browser and not using the 'log off' button.

Movies won't open or links seem to be broken

Much of our content, such as movies or slides, opens in "pop-up" windows.

Your browser may be configured to block pop-up windows. For the site to work properly, you need to tell your browser to allow pop-ups for Anatomy.tv (or www.studentanatomy.tv)

Pop-up blockers can also be found in other software – for example, the Google Toolbar, Yahoo toolbar, Outlook toolbar, or other internet or privacy software such as software firewalls, anti-spyware or ad-blockers.

Below is a guide to changing pop-up blocker settings in popular browsers:

Internet Explorer: Under "Options" in the main menu, choose "Popup Blocker", choose "Popup Blocker Settings" and enter www.anatomy.tv and/or www.studentanatomy.tv

Mozilla Firefox: Under "Tools" in the toolbar choose "Options" and click on the "Content" tab in the left hand column. If the "Block Popup Windows" option is clicked, click the "Allowed sites" button and enter www.anatomy.tv and/or www.studentanatomy.tv in the textbox and click allow.

Google toolbar: Click on the "X popups blocked" button. This will allow popups for the site you are currently in.

Yahoo toolbar: Click on the Popup blocker button (next to "search web" button). Choose "Always allow popups from" from the menu. Highlight www.anatomy.tv and click "Allow". Click OK to "always allow popups from this site".

Please explain the colour coding of the muscles in the animations on Primal’s 3D Human Functional Anatomy

  • The green is showing the agonist.
  • The red shows the antagonist.
  • A muscle acts as the agonist in one action and as an antagonist in the opposite action. For example, when bending the elbow and raising the hand toward the shoulder, the biceps muscle contracts and is the agonist (GREEN); the triceps muscle stretches and is the antagonist (RED). When the movement is reversed and the elbow is extended, the triceps muscle contracts and is the agonist (GREEN), and the biceps muscle lengthens and is the antagonist (RED).

I’m using Primal’s 3D Real-time Human Anatomy and I’m asked to download Unity. Is this safe?

This product is now also supported on Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge via their built-in WebGL feature.
